12th September 2004 Windsurfing: newton ,porthcawl Wind Direction: SW Wind Stength: 25+ Surf / Sea State: WAVES/SWELL Air Temperature: ok Sea Temperature: ok Weather: dark/cloudy Max Speed: Distance Covered: well after the no show of wind yesterday , today was spot on . Picked up Downwind Dan he was a bit doughtfull of wind as I told him to bring wave board and max 5m ish sail and gave him the TRUST ME speech .Anyway pulled into Newton , net Jamie ,Clive rigged 5mish and went out . Holy shit Batman way to much wind , all rerigged to 4,5m and stayed on them all day . We all sailed from about 11 untill gone 4pm when knackered out , Dan was going for top wipeout award again with some absolute crackers .Clive finally got his jumping cracked and being more selective with wave choice was banging some decent ones . Lots of non locals around today making the most of the wind and swell , some only brought biggish kit and where finding the 4,5m conditions a bit tough . a really good day . roll on the rest of week |
